Dr. Nguyen Phuc Lam Thy obtained her PhD in Finance at Bangor University in 2021, Master of Science in Finance at Bangor University in 2016, and Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance majoring in International Finance at Foreign Trade University in 2014. Her research is focused on international financial markets, sovereign credit ratings, financial instability, political economy, and behavioral economics. Her research was presented at several scientific conferences (e.g. 12th International Accounting and Finance Doctoral Symposium, Milan, Italy and 42nd Accounting and Finance Research Colloquium, Gregynog, UK).
She was appointed as the Deputy Head of Real Estate Department at UMT in 2021. Previously, Thy taught at Bangor University and some other universities in Vietnam in the areas of Economics and Finance with a strong research-led teaching strategy. She had working experience at the Jerusalem Market Research Institute, Israel; Standard Chartered Bank, and KPMG, Vietnam. She also supervised students to win the Eureka Scientific Research Award in 2021 organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.
